Working outdoors creating a
peaceful and beautiful balance with art and nature is my favorite place
to be. I have owned and operated a landscape and gardening design
business for the past 15 years working extensively in commercial
businesses in Newport County and other New England locations. I started
in this business working with stone – designing patios, walkways, dry
weave walls, Japanese gardens with koi ponds, and container gardens;
then began working in the hotel and restaurant community designing
indoor tropical plantings, flower boxes, containers, and silk
arrangements. Consulting for hotel groups in New England and designing
interior tropical plantings has also been a rewarding aspect of my
business.
My clients include The City of Newport, Rhode Island, The International Tennis Hall of
Fame, Salve Regina University, Astors Beachwood mansion, The Black
Pearl, The Hyatt Regency Hotel, Eastern Resorts, Newport Hotel Group,
Banisters Wharf, Celtica Pub, and numerous restaurants, B & B’s, and
Hotels in Newport County.
As described I have a solid niche in the landscape design community
but flower arranging is my
passion. Japanese flower arranging has brought peace and balance into my
sometimes hectic life. Several years ago I incorporated floral design into
my business and provide weekly flower arrangements for many clients whose
needs are as varied as weddings, intimate dinner parties for visiting
dignitaries, fund- raising special events and memorials. I have an extensive
collection of topiaries, containers, and flowering shrubs that are
incorporated into our events and occasions as well. By growing unique
flowers in my gardens I am able to provide a floral design unlike most
others. I inspect, purchase, and arrange all of the flowers for our floral
designs, and deliver them personally.
